We published the latest JOA Newsletter in February, reporting on our Conservation Livelihoods Conference in Cambridge where along with Durrell, JOA hosted a conference which attracted delegates from 19 different countries. It was a very vibrant well attended 2 day conference which after the initial one two years ago is starting to gain traction and some very good feedback and input. Further papers can be found on the JOA website.
We also reported on my visit to Syria and Lebanon. In all the years we have been supporting Syria and the refugees from that country, this was the first opportunity I have had to visit Damascus and Aleppo with are in-country partners the International Red Cross and Red Crescent. It was an interesting and extremely worthwhile visit where I was able to see first hand the impact Jersey’s support is having on people living in extremely challenging conditions.
