Internships

Last year during my visit to New Jersey, I visited Princeton, one of the world’s most prestigious universities, and with their International Internship Program Team, considered how Jersey could benefit from providing placements for Princeton students. Reciprocal opportunities, for Jersey students considering applying to Princeton, were also discussed with the School of Public and International Affairs.

These connections lend themselves to opportunities for businesses in Jersey who want to secure the benefit of a Princeton Student for a time period. These students would not be employed to do the photocopying or make the teas, but instead their intellectual capacity could be best utilised to write strategies, policies and bring new dynamic ideas into the organisation.

I have been working with Jersey Finance and the Jersey Chamber of Commerce to see how we can advance this initiative in 2026.
