Carolyn opened the second Jersey Africa Forum in December 2021 which was attended virtually by over 1,000 people across the world. The first Jersey Africa Forum having been opening by her two years previously in 2019 in Rwanda. These forums bring together cattle breeders of the Jersey Cow from all over the world. It is especially interesting to follow the story in Africa of how the Jersey breed is being used to lift, not only individuals, villages and now regions out of poverty, through the International development programmes facilitated by Jersey Overseas Aid and the Royal Jersey Agricultural & Horticultural Society.
