UNICEF opportunities for islanders

JERSEY has signed a new agreement with the United Nations children’s agency UNICEF to expand opportunities for Islanders working in global humanitarian roles. A memorandum of understanding between the Government of Jersey and UNICEF will enable Jersey Overseas Aid to fund its first junior professional officer (JPO) placement with the organisation from 2026.

Geneva 2021 International Development Opportunities Secured

Visit to Geneva October 2021 to meet representatives of International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) to discuss our Financial Inclusion  projects and also to meet Filippo Grandi, the head of UNHCR (the UN Refugee Agency) discussing refugee support. We also managed to secure two places this year for Jersey
