My time in New Jersey alone provided considerable value, but I was also able to ‘top and tail’ my attendance at the Municipalities Conference with engagements in my role as Minister for International Development and chair of Jersey Overseas Aid (JOA).
Following the turbulent period in Jersey Politics earlier this year, this Government’s first job was to present its Common Strategic Plan. With only two years to implement it, the focus is on addressing immediate challenges facing Islanders, such as the cost of living, hospital facilities, and housing.
As some will already know, I am pursuing the render of a good agricultural field (MN714) in St. Martin from the dump it has become, back into a field. The owner has accumulated and is now ‘storing’ a menagerie of items on the field. It is not only an eyesore
One of my election pledges was to set up a Community Support Group in St Martin as we have in Grouville. I set up the service in Grouville about 10 years ago and it is a valued support and comfort to our Community. I am working with the Constable and
Apart from political unrest the one good thing recently was saving the Greve de Lecq café site from developers.

JOA Community Works Projects for 2024 Jersey Overseas Aid launched the Community Work Projects for 2024. These give opportunities to Islanders who wish to experience international development first hand.
Volunteers are able to broaden their knowledge and experiences but most importantly are able to benefit those living
